$21.00 - $25.00/hour
Schedule:
Monday - Friday/Flexible/Evenings and weekends required as arranged
Job Summary:
The PCC Program Specialist engages with multiple Parent Child Center programs which may include parent education, parent support, the Welcome Baby program, home visiting, playgroups and/or others as identified with the Program Director. The Program Specialist will engage with families on multiple levels and often be the first point of contact for families in the community with the Parent Child Center. The Program Specialist will administer program components, collect data, communicate with external and internal constituents and support integration of PCC services throughout all programs with support from the Program Director.
Essential Functions:
Support program implementation for the 8 Core Services of the Parent Child Center as decided with the Program Director.
8 Core Services include: o Early Childhood Education Services o Home Visiting o Parent Education o Parent Support o Playgroups o Concrete Supports o Community Development o Information and Referral
Provide family engagement throughout the 8 core services utilizing the Strengthening Families Approach and other models as identified with the Program Director
Collect data on program utilization and satisfaction as needed by the Program Director
Be the first point of contact for families in the community for Parent Child Center programs
Have complete knowledge of all programs offered by the Parent Child Center and other community programming in order to make appropriate referrals and support families to access resources
Engage in program development and implementation as appropriate
Communicate with the community to increase knowledge and awareness of PCC programs
Participate in efforts to integrate all PCC services throughout the Center for full optimization of programs
Partner with community organizations with the goal of furthering collaborative partnerships
Actively support OCPCC community development and fundraising events as assigned
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years experience in human services field, social work, psychology, early childhood development, or related. BA preferred.
At least 3 years of experience engaging with families with diverse backgrounds
Proficient in using technology as a communication tool
Strong project management skills managing multiple aspects of multifaceted programs
Experience with data collection
Demonstrated teamwork skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details
