Job Description
Summary
- This individual will be self-motivated, able to work independently, and passionate about advocating for mental health in our region and have excitement about engaging the community in our mission at various levels: Partnerships
- lead agency efforts with NAMI partners in the region (Buncombe, Henderson, Madison) to expand NAMI program impacts (support groups, education programs, advocacy, public awareness); serve on various regional committees and lead collaborative efforts. Presentations
- lead agency efforts with NAMI mental health presentations for local businesses, community groups, schools, and other nonprofit organizations and at conferences
- these may be virtual, in-person, in small or large groups. Deliver existing NAMI educational presentations as well as those created in-house and for specific audiences. Requirements
- 2+ years of outreach, marketing, or sales work in a leadership role Knowledge of the region's nonprofit, mental health, or social service sector Comfort with technology, social media, graphic design Comfort with public speaking and delivering presentations Reliable transportation for travel within a three county area Details
