About The Danielle Dawn Smalley Foundation The Danielle Dawn Smalley Foundation is a national nonprofit collaborating with oil and gas pipeline operators to advance public awareness and increase engagement on natural gas and liquid pipeline safety. Our programs educate and equip schools, first responders, and communities with curated data, content, and training to effectively prevent and respond to pipeline incidents. Position Overview The Program Coordinator requires a dynamic and organized professional to support the Foundation's daily operations and outreach. The role combines project coordination, relationship management, communications, and education. The ideal candidate is an excellent writer, detail-oriented, able to balance multiple priorities, and passionate about public safety. This is a hybrid position with occasional travel to support in-person safety training. Responsibilities Coordinate meetings, schedules, and program logistics for Foundation staff and external partners. Maintain and manage databases, contact records, and organizational systems. Develop written content, including emails, newsletters, promotional materials, website copy, and other communications. Support the planning and execution of in-person pipeline safety training. Travel occasionally to assist with in-person training and outreach activities. Serve as a point of contact with oil and gas pipeline operators enrolled in the program. Manage projects and deadlines to ensure timely completion of deliverables. Assist with administrative and operational tasks to support the Foundation. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree. 1-5 years of experience in nonprofit organizations, communications, public relations, or related fields. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong project management and organizational abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills. Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a small team. Positive attitude. Preferred Qualifications Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM/database platforms. Strong social media skills and familiarity with digital communications. Graphic design experience, including familiarity with programs such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite. Demonstrated comfort in learning and adopting new technologies and software.
