Position Overview:
The Bilingual (Spanish / English) Program Coordinator takes responsibility for Madres Solidarias (MaS, a new parent peer support group) and coordination of the Circle of Parents Program. This position oversees the planning, coordination, and growth of our bilingual programs. This role blends program coordination, relationship building, volunteer management, and community building together so that families receive the culturally responsive, high-quality support and education they desire in an inclusive and accessible way that provides a hand up, not a handout. The program coordinator works closely with our community-based peer support facilitators and parent leaders, community experts & consultants, as well as other community partners to strengthen outcomes for children and their parents across our region. Key Responsibilities Program Coordination & Direct Services Work with program manager to plan and coordinate group offerings, including scheduling, location identification, and logistics for all aspects of the programming. Enroll clients, deliver program materials, and attend regional community-based events.
Scheduling:
Schedule and complete enrollment phone calls and client surveys completion.
Data Collection and analysis:
collect and analyze data on attendance, participation, and community feedback for program improvement and community engagement purposes.
Program Service Delivery:
Lead and assist with groups programming.
Communication:
Develop and manage communications between staff, parent facilitators, and community experts
Storytelling:
Work with ED and Progam Manager to collect and share success stories with the community (donors, volunteers, newsletter) Additional tasks as assigned and needed.
Qualifications/Skills:
Passion for maternal and infant Mental Health and Family Support People Person
  • develops relationships with enthusiasm and positive energy Experience leading groups in a peer-to-peer scenario Independent worker, can accomplish tasks without much guidance or oversight Fluent in both English and Spanish in writing and verbal communications Team player

  • can interact with people from many different backgrounds with good active and nonjudgmental listening with a focus on the participant's best interest.
Learns new skills quickly and is open to learning how to use new software products. Proficient in WhatsApp, Zoom, G-suite, and Microsoft office products. Experience in all of the following software required: MS Forms, MS Smart Sheets, SharePoint, MS Teams, MS Excel, MS Word.
Preferred:
Experience participating in a Madres Solidarias group and/or a Circle of Parents group.
Requirements:
Fluent in both English and Spanish in writing and verbal communications Pass a criminal background check for the purpose of working with children. Reliable source of your own transportation and your own smart phone. Ability to lift up to 15lbs and sit or stand for long periods of time. Remote working space with high-speed internet or personal hotspot.
