Program Coordinator (Veteran's Affairs) Alliance For Aging Inc - 1.0 Miami, FL Job Details Full-time From $41,000 a year 9 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Employee assistance program Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Spanish Microsoft Excel Microsoft Access Microsoft Outlook Expense management English Customer inquiry handling Bachelor's degree Home visits (communication methods) Full Job Description Position Overview Reporting to the Director of Planning and Population Health, the Candidate supports daily operations of various population health programs, including delivery of training and education, scheduling of programs and staff, client home visits, report preparation and document maintenance. Helps ensure contractual and programmatic requirements are met. Responsible for monitoring the activities of subcontractors and working closely with staff to develop special programs. Primary Accountabilities As a member of the Population Health team, the Program Coordinator will: Coordinate and supervise the activities of assigned volunteers, trainers, caregivers, subcontractors, and interns. As assigned, provide logistical support to a network of CHW's to ensure program fidelity. As assigned, conduct home visits , assessments and client satisfaction surveys. Develop and schedule program activities and special events in accordance with specifications and funding. Develop work plans, track of activities and deliverables, and produce various programmatic and fiscal reports and invoices. Monitor program expenditures and time card entries, ensuring that activities are within budget allocations. Document completion of all contract deliverables. Interact with internal and external customers to respond to questions/issues regarding programs and services. Recruit local community partners, program participants, members, and volunteers using appropriate promotional or marketing methods. Deliver/facilitate trainings, presentations and workshops. Maintain a strong and active presence within the community by speaking to groups about various health topics, with particular emphasis on the Department of Elder Affairs prioritized topics. Initiate new community partnerships that advocate for similar goals. Assist in grants management by identifying new opportunities, and participating in grant writing. Develop and maintain current knowledge of population health issues and education strategies pertinent to the elder population. Assist with the Alliance for Aging's response following a disaster or emergency, as needed. Specific tasks will be assigned by the supervisor, based on need and the incumbent's availability. Perform other duties as assigned. Education, Skill Requirements and Essential Functions Bachelor's degree in health education, social work, gerontology, nutrition, public health or a related field. At least two (2) years' experience in Human Services or a related field. A combination of education and work experience will be considered. Experience working with older adults is highly desirable. Excellent problem solving, analytical, verbal, organizational and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication skills, orally and in writing. - Public Speaking skills is a must . Strong initiative and follow-through on responsibilities. Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team, and exhibit flexibility and creativity in response to growth and change within the organization. Bilingual English-Spanish is a must. Previous experience working with the public in an interactive human services setting is preferred with knowledge of the local aging network. Demonstrated PC ability to include Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and publishing software. Additionally, must be Internet proficient.
