Salary Grade 5•Equivalent of $29.03•$35.08 per hour Purpose of the
Position:
The Program Director oversees and directs the Shelter, Transitional Housing and Community Based programs at Y.E.S. This position provides Organizational Leadership, Planning, Financial Management, Supervision and effectively directs Program Operations as well as resolving day-to-day program-related issues before they arise to the Executive Director.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
Program Operations•Oversee program infrastructure, workflow and individual client needs Notice and identify program gaps as they arise, proactively addressing and implementing solutions Update all program Policies & Procedures Ensure that all aspects of Y.E.S. programs are in compliance, up to date and in efficient and effective working order, including building facilities, safety plans, contract requirements and deliverables, etc. Supervision•Lead, coach, develop and retain manager-level employees Develop staff using a supporting and collaborative approach by assigning accountability, setting objectives, establishing priorities, and monitoring and evaluating on a consistent basis Promote a culture of inclusivity and trauma-informed care, values learning and commitment to quality Motivate, inspire and guide the delivery of program services to Y.E.S. clients Provide mentorship and guidance, alleviate and address individual and group concerns Ensure employees receive timely and appropriate training and professional development Organizational Leadership•Works with the Executive Director to develop a direction for the organization Provides effective and inspiring leadership by being actively involved in all Y.E.S. programs, developing a broad and deep knowledge of their purpose, role, and contribution to the agency Provide a supportive day-to-day leadership presence for staff while bridging program operations Create and strengthen partnerships with other local and state agencies, developing a broad and deep knowledge of their purpose, role, and contribution to the community Planning•Oversee and analyze success and challenges with current Y.E.S. programs In collaboration with the Executive Director, design and develop program offerings and metrics based on analysis, in accordance with the Y.E.S. strategic plan to increase depth and breadth of impact Develop long-term strategies for organizational staffing and structure to ensure that YES current and future program needs are met Financial Management•Works with staff, Accounts Administrator, and Executive Director in preparing a budget that incorporates long-range strategic financial and budgetary planning in alignment with the Y.E.S. Strategic Plan Monitors that programs operate within budget guidelines and ensures disbursement of funds in accordance with contract requirements and donor designations Report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered
Qualifications and Competency:
Model professional, appropriate, effective, and tactful workplace behavior Knowledge of social services systems and effective strategies for change Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and nonverbal Organizational skills: detail oriented, follows through, and completes tasks Flexible thinking; able to work collaboratively, willing to learn and open to new ideas Ability to work independently, prioritize work assignments, and meet deadlines Advanced skills in Microsoft office and Google applications Ability to confidently represent the organization with internal and external stakeholders
Training, Education, and Experience:
Five or more years' experience working in social services roles; combination of direct service and administrative roles is preferred. Minimum of four years of experience in management, with supervisory experience. Bachelor's degree in social sciences or other related fields is required. Master's degree preferred. Combined education and experience may be considered. This position is required to be available for shelter coverage on an as needed basis and complete training consistent with shelter policies and procedures for staff supervising youth.

$29.03•$35.08 per hour
