Job Summary The Program Facilitator (full time; 35 hours per week) delivers structured mentoring experiences across site-based, group, and staff-facilitated formats. This includes in-school and after-school programs, community events, and other guided models that promote strong mentoring relationships. Working closely with youth, volunteers, and school or site partners, the Facilitator creates inclusive, engaging environments that support match development and youth outcomes. A flexible work schedule and regular local travel are required to meet the needs of youth and families across Connecticut. Duties Program Facilitation & Participant Engagemen t Lead structured mentoring sessions in school-based, site-based, or community settings Build positive, youth-centered relationships with program participants and model engagement best practices Implement group activities, discussions, and exercises aligned with agency goals and curricula Ensure sessions reflect trauma-informed, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate approaches Provide in-the-moment coaching to volunteers and youth as needed Youth Enrollment & Match Coordination Conduct interviews with youth and caregivers to assess eligibility and match readiness Prepare match recommendations and ensure survey data is accurate and confidential Partner with the Match Success Team to coordinate appropriate match pairings Lead match introductions, reinforce program expectations, and ensure compliance with documentation standards Share match insights to support ongoing case management administered by the Match Support Team Site Coordination & Program Logistics Coordinate logistics for program sessions, including transportation, supplies, and site communication Maintain open and professional communication with school and site staff to ensure smooth operations Support participant safety and behavior management while reinforcing program expectations Program Administration & Engagement Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Matchforce and ensure data quality Adhere to a flexible schedule that supports participant availability and community engagement needs Deliver responsive, inclusive customer service to all program participants Represent the agency in community settings to support outreach, volunteer engagement, and brand awareness Stay informed about program goals, grant requirements, and outcome measures related to assigned responsibilities Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional or lived experience strongly considered Minimum of of experience facilitating programming with youth or volunteers in school or community settings Familiarity with youth development, mentoring, or facilitated programming Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout Connecticut Skills and Abilities Strong group facilitation and classroom management skills Ability to relate well to youth and adult volunteers from diverse backgrounds Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce/Matchforce experience a plus Strong organizational, communication, and documentation abilities Committed to BBBSCT's values of equity, inclusion, youth potential, and relationship-building
