Summary:
Lead planning, administration, and financial management for acute care and ambulatory capital construction projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption to patient care. Collaborate with clinical teams, physicians, executives, and cross-functional partners to drive high-performance outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead capital projects, including site selection, lease negotiation, design, construction, and activation. Coordinate with internal teams on infection prevention, facilities, IT, and equipment planning. Oversee procurement, delivery, and activation, and regularly report progress to stakeholders.
  • Drive strategic planning initiativesacross UNC Health Care entities, securing alignment and support for implementation.
  • Identify and implement process improvementsto enhance project performance and standardization while minimizing disruption to patient care and administrative operations.
  • Provide real estate analysis and strategic supportduring project planning phases.
  • Resolve complex issuesthroughout planning, design, and construction to ensure efficiency and compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards. Develop and manage approved capital budgets for assigned projects.
  • Manage project schedules and meetings, maintain communication with architects and contractors, and ensure timely updates to cross-functional teams.
  • Monitor milestones and budgets, track performance against schedules and critical paths, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Supervise vendors and project teamsto ensure compliance with contracts and client expectations.
  • Advise clinical end userson design and construction decisions, incorporating clinical input into planning, equipment selection, and activation.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Health Administration or related field.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
No licensure or certification required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
Five (5) years of program/project management experience. If Master's degree, three (3) years of program/project management experience.
