Hours:
40 hours/week | Standard business hours | No overtime Position Overview System One is seeking a Program Manager to support Large Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Demand Response programs across multiple states. These voluntary programs help customers temporarily reduce energy usage during periods of peak grid demand, supporting overall grid reliability and operational efficiency. This role is ideal for a collaborative program management professional who thrives in a cross-functional environment and enjoys balancing customer engagement, operational coordination, forecasting, and reporting responsibilities. Key Responsibilities The Program Manager will support 2-3 demand response programs and will be responsible for: Managing program operations across multiple states Supporting customer enrollment and account management enablement Developing forecasts, managing budgets, and tracking program performance Preparing reports, filings, and program performance documentation Coordinating billing processes, waivers, customer issues, and year-end closeout activities Supporting enrollment planning and communication of program rules and requirements Collaborating with internal teams including Commercial Operations, Account Management, and Mass Market teams
Typical Work Cycle:
Responsibilities vary throughout the year based on program seasonality: Q1 Program status reporting Performance summaries and regulatory filings Planning activities and operational presentations Q2 Customer enrollment campaigns Webinars and stakeholder outreach Forecasting and pipeline management Summer readiness planning Q3 Active summer event support Billing file setup and performance monitoring Customer issue resolution and operational support Q4 Program wrap-up and reconciliation Billing finalization Year-end reporting and planning for the next cycle Team & Work Environment Highly collaborative and cross-functional team environment Frequent interaction with internal stakeholders and external customers Strong emphasis on teamwork, communication, and cultural fit Office-based work environment Required Qualifications 7+ years of program management or related experience Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and operational reporting Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Utility or energy industry experience Experience in regulated industries such as utilities or finance Background supporting rebate, incentive, or demand response programs MBA or advanced degree preferred but not required Background Utilities and energy programs Demand response or energy efficiency programs Rebate or incentive program administration Other regulated operational environments System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
