Salary Range :
$27,805
  • $37,073 annually (20 hours per week).
Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications. This position is Non-Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

Summary The Leadership Pikes Peak Program Manager is responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of the Signature programs and other supporting community leadership development opportunities to ensure successful execution and alignment with organizational goals. This is a part-time, 20 hour a week, ongoing 12-month appointment. Essential Functions The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: Program Development Develop and implement program objectives, goals, and strategies in alignment with organizational mission and objectives Collaborate with stakeholders to define program requirements and scope Program Management Plan and coordinate program activities, timelines, and resources to ensure successful execution of the following: Eleven (1) regular program days; program days run from approximately 8:30 am to 4:00 pm One (1) orientation One (1) two-day overnight retreat Graduation ceremony Community Leadership Conference Leadership Development and Coaching Symposium Coordinate communication and scheduling for all parties Plan and organize event catering and supplemental resources Identify, recruit, interview, and onboard LPP program cohort members on a cyclical and yearly basis Identify, recruit, and communicate with program day key speakers and presenters Monitor program progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or risks that may arise Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and standards Event planning and attendance outside the cohort program to include alumni events, Get on Board, Community Leadership Conference, and UCCS and Partner Institution events Regular networking and community partner relationship building Lead and coordinate the LPP Advisory Committee Manage LPP social media channels and engage in regular posts and audience engagement Meet monthly with LPP Directors Budgeting and Financial Management Develop program budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure effective resource allocation Identify potential funding sources and opportunities for financial sustainability Lead and assist in fundraising and donor engagement activities of initial and ongoing donors Stakeholder Engagement Cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, funders, advisory committee, and community members Communicate program goals, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and meetings Solicit feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve program effectiveness and relevance Organize and lead ongoing Advisory Board meetings and activities Collaboration and attendance with other College of Education and UCCS units/programs Evaluation and Quality Assurance Ensure program quality and compliance through regular monitoring and quality assurance measures Program Oversight Meetings Meet monthly with Board Faculty Directors in person Share out program and task progress Develop new program initiatives Expand LPP footprint and engagement within UCCS College of Education, the larger UCCS campus, and regional stakeholders Tentative Search Timeline Priority will be given to applications submitted by: 11:59 PM May 22, 2026 Potential first virtual interview dates: May 27-29 Potential final in person interview dates: Week of June 1 Potential start date: June 15, 2026 CU is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws governing nondiscrimination in employment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required Experience in fundraising, donor relations, and/or grant writing is highly desirable The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree (e.g., Master's or MBA) and/or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CPM) The University of Colorado Colorado Springs has implemented a misconduct history check program with respect to final candidates for specific appointments.
