The Student Services Manager is a leadership role responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing LEAP's student support systems across the Career & Education program continuum. This includes both 1:1 and group-based models that support youth in exploring pathways, setting goals, and navigating postsecondary success. This role leads the implementation of Massachusetts Career and Academic Plans (MyCAP), oversees a portfolio of mentoring models, and supervises MSW interns, volunteers, and other staff providing direct student support. The Student Services Manager ensures that students receive consistent, high-quality guidance that supports engagement, persistence, and progression across school-year and summer programming. Working in close collaboration with cross-functional program staff, this role ensures that student support systems are aligned with programming, workforce opportunities, and community-based experiences. The Student Services Manager plays a key role in preparing students for participation in LEAP's Summer Work Program by supporting application readiness, goal alignment, and transition planning, and contributes to cross-team planning to ensure a cohesive student experience. Program Management -50% Oversee the design and implementation of education and career mentoring supports, managing staff and volunteers who provide one to one and group mentoring to help youth explore career pathways, set goals, and plan and pursue post secondary success. Lead the design and implementation of education and career coaching supports, ensuring high quality delivery across staff and volunteers. Oversee coaching systems that support youth in exploring career pathways, setting goals, and planning for post secondary success. Oversee staff and volunteers who provide one-on-one and group coaching, ensuring consistency and quality of support; this includes all MSW intern feedback and documentation requirements Establish structures for student caseload management, goal setting, and progress monitoring Monitor coaching effectiveness and student progress, using data to inform improvements Ensure coaching practices align with LEAP's program model and outcomes Supervise MSW interns providing one on one and group mentoring Coordinate mentor assignments and monitor quality of mentoring relationships Provide guidance and support to mentors to ensure alignment with program goals Support the development of group mentoring opportunities and structures 2. MYCAP Implementation and Academic Planning -25% Support integration of MYCAP frameworks into coaching, mentoring, and program activities Track student progress toward key milestones related to post secondary readiness Collaborate with schools and partners to align efforts and support student success Ensure documentation and tracking of student plans and progress 3. Student Support and Barrier Navigation -25% Support students in navigating barriers that impact their ability to engage and succeed in programming and post secondary pathways. Identify challenges related to attendance, engagement, or external factors Provide guidance and support to help students navigate obstacles Coordinate referrals to external resources and services when needed Collaborate with staff to ensure a coordinated approach to student support Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work - LICSW required 1 to 2 years of experience providing coaching, advising, or counseling to youth or young adults Experience supporting students in post secondary planning, college access, or career pathways Experience supervising interns, mentors, or staff in a program setting Experience implementing structured student planning or advising frameworks Demonstrated ability to support youth in navigating barriers to success Experience tracking student outcomes and progress over time Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, evolving environment Skills that strengthen success in this role Experience working in school based or community based youth programs Familiarity with MYCAP or similar career development frameworks Experience supporting group mentoring or advisory models Experience using Salesforce or similar systems to track student engagement and outcomes Multilingual abilities that support communication with youth and families Experience collaborating with schools or higher education institutions, LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
This is a full-time leadership position based in Salem & Lynn, MA. Some travel to employer and college partner sites required. May include occasional evening or weekend events, which are pre-scheduled in advance. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
