  • Full-time Volunteer Program Coordinator Named by the Boston Globe as one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts for the last four years, our community-based, mission-driven hospice and palliative care organization seeks a Volunteer Program Coordinator to join its dynamic Volunteer Program Department.
The Volunteer Program engages and coordinates volunteers who offer compassionate support to hospice and palliative care patients and provide essential administrative assistance to the organization. This is a hybrid position.
Job Responsibilities :
The Volunteer Program Coordinator helps oversee all aspects of the Volunteer Program at Good Shepherd Community Care, including recruitment and retention, training, record maintenance, volunteer placement, and recognition of volunteers. Ensures compliance with the level of volunteer service required by regulations.
Schedule and Weekly Hours:
Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Occasional evening hours required.
Education, Skills and Experience :
College Degree or equivalent experience preferred Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and thoroughness are essential Excellent customer service skills Comfort with multitasking Strong communication and interpersonal skills Work in close partnership with staff and volunteers to support coordinated, team-based efforts.

Demonstrated computer skills (comfort creating and working with spreadsheets) Fluency in Russian, Spanish, or Chinese is a plus.

Pay Range:
$47,000

This number reflects an average starting range for this position. Individual pay is determined through a variety of factors including experience, education, certifications, and skills and can exceed the starting range.
