Job Description
Sonalysts, Inc. is seeking an operations analyst to help the Navy in the growing field of Subsea Seabed Warfare (SSW). The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the development of innovative technologies, doctrine, policies, and prototype projects that will expand the SSW capabilities for the Navy at large.

Develop tactics, operating considerations, and processes for Subsea and Seabed Warfare (SSW) Work on interesting and challenging analysis, research, development, and acquisition projects such as: Advanced weapon systems to employ against SSW targets Blue SSW protection Unmanned Autonomous Vehicles and remotely operated vehicles employed to conduct SSW Ocean engineering systems and payloads Serve as a liaison between active-duty military, engineers, and program offices on new acquisition programs Use analytical and problem-solving skills to help inform government program decisions Support industry and/or government teams in the transition of concepts to prototypes to fleet release Design and execute modeling and simulation (M&S) studies to develop and refine tactical guidance Leverage previous experience to support government engineering teams in the development of new technologies Apply knowledge and experience in SSW to a wide variety of non-DoD projects and initiatives Use strong oral and written communication skills to perform independent work directly with sponsors The Opportunities of Employee-Ownership Providing important support to various projects and key systems across the company. Salary ranges between $90,000-$165,000, dependent on experience, qualifications and other relevant business criteria. U.S. Citizen, possessing an active Department of Defense SECRET security clearance• Bachelor's degree Candidates must submit a cover letter addressing the following subject: Explain how your background is relevant to understanding SSW and working as an analyst in that domain. All submissions must be unclassified.Strongly Desired Experience/Qualifications:
Experience as a submarine officer (OOD) or chief petty officer (DOOW/COB/FT Supervisor/ANAV) on an operationalSSN/SSGN/SSBN
Experience with Unmanned Autonomous Vehicles or Remotely Operated Vehicles Experience in applying advanced analytical techniques to solve complex problems Maritime experience with undersea survey, surveillance, or environmental monitoring Possessing an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance Experience in Unexploded Ordinance Operations Maritime experience (desired) with shipwrecks, aviation accidents and munition dumpsites.To include:
Survey and relocation operations Dangers & Hazard Control Environmental protection/contamination Detection, including magnetic gradiometry, advanced sonars and other specialized maritime equipment Remediation International coordination, including humanitarian aid and military partnerships •Maintaining a U.S. Government security clearance involves a comprehensive background check.
