FLYERS Program Coordinator

OVERVIEW

Under limited supervision, facilitate the daily operations of the designated FLYERS after school program site for elementary age students, including lunch monitoring during the school day as well as program summer camps. Manage and mentor staff to create a strong team that continually engages in activities with children and provides quality care and enrichment that enhances children's social skills, elevates activity level and extends learning in a fun and safe environment.

KEY FUNCTIONS

Supervises staff and implements proactive decision-making; maintains high standards of safety through relationships and childcare management systems provided Leads team meetings and ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, laws and regulations Conducts assessments of program location Mentors and develops staff with effective goal-setting Develops and maintains effective communication and positive working relationships with staff, co-workers and district personnel Manages and facilitates proper scheduling and coverage for lunch monitoring as well as afterschool and summer camp programming Oversees used areas and ensures other shared school space is well maintained Facilitates FLYERS programming to meet the needs of the children Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to exert up to twenty-five pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects when needed. Physical demands are in excess of those for sedentary work; must be able to remain on feet for extended periods.
