Job Description

Foster Grandparent Director Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Foster Grandparent Director to join our Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of volunteer management, recruitment, and training to ensure the success of our Foster Grandparent Program. Responsibilities
  • Plans, organizes and implements recruitment, orientation and placement of Foster Grandparent volunteers at area schools.
  • Follows and administers personnel policies and procedures for project staff consistent with federal grant policies.
  • Provides staff assistance to the grant advisory Council and involves the council in plans, local project policies, actions, and changes and problems impacting the grant program.
  • Coordinates efforts with volunteer stations to develop volunteer training.
  • Maintains & develops good relationships with community organizations, businesses and individuals to ensure the successful operation of the FGP in Laurens County.
  • Plans, develops and carries out an ongoing public relations program for the FGP.
  • Recruits and takes initiative to promote community support for the FGP.
  • Prepares and issues reports to meet the requirements of this program.
  • Attends conferences, meetings and training programs related to this program and required by the National office. Qualifications
