OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
Reliability Program Specialist This position will work with the reliability team to ensure all systems are optimized to support all reliability centered maintenance (RCM) activities. The role will drive standardization to preventive maintenance programs, CMMS data structure, critical spares analysis, and assist the planning department with internal resource optimization strategies. The role will support and grow Asset Management's use of the DMS system to ensure availability of engineering and maintenance documents for site assets.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Work directly with the Principal Plant Engineer to champion the site's RCM program and ensure all workflow/procedural documentation exists to support the program's implementation, training, and effectiveness Develop optimization milestone plans that drive and report timelines of RCM maintenance strategy adjustment across critical plant processes Employ the RCM program to optimize critical equipment and non-critical equipment maintenance strategies (i.e. time based, condition based, usage based, predictive, capex, run to fail) Develop/adjust maintenance plans based on the strategy selected per each equipment, to include adjustments to duration, manpower, task scope, frequency, components, etc. Develop standardized practices to monitor the planning group's resource loading capacity against the RCM preventative maintenance (PM) programs' requirements Routinely audit maintenance strategies by performing field audits of maintenance execution vs maintenance planning Employ lean strategies (i.e. Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED)) to analyze and identify efficiency improvements against routine maintenance work Support adjustments to predictive maintenance strategies based on RCM results Support development of standardized CMMS equipment data structures for all site equipment including the bill of materials (BOM) Adjust CMMS data to fit the standardized CMMS data structure ensuring all site equipment data is readily accessible to AM personnel Optimize CMMS cause code catalogs to drive increased detail and efficiency into reliability bad actor analysis Review equipment component stock levels against RCM analysis results and optimize stock levels per the RCM data Train AM department personnel on changes to critical equipment maintenance strategies Develop/adjust SOPs and PRT documents used to drive maintenance strategies and ensure all documentation is correctly implemented into DMS Assist the reliability team to drive equipment improvements that increase equipment uptime or reduce maintenance resource needs Identify and support implementation of department CMMS systems and strategies Prepare reports and conduct meetings with department and site level leadership to present improvements from the RCM program Assist plant personnel with locating plant engineering data, drawings, equipment files, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree recommended or 5-10 years' experience with maintenance activities in a heavy industrial environment (mining or metals processing, refining, and/or chemical industry preferred) Previous experience in a maintenance planner, maintenance supervision, an/or maintenance/reliability engineer Experience using CMMS (preferably SAP) Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint (intermediate to advanced user)
