Staff Full Time Job Description The Life Support Skills Training Coordinator manages the instructional activities within the Center for Interprofessional Education and Simulation (CIPES) at Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) on the Knoxville campus. This role is responsible for ensuring program compliance with national standards (AHA/ASHI), coordinating instructor staff, and driving business development to secure financial sustainability and expand community outreach. Required Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Paramedic certification, or equivalent clinical credentials.

Job Duties
Coordinate daily operation and course schedules for all life support skills offerings
Execute the division's business plan and assist with budget forecasting to ensure the program meets required revenue targets and manages expenditures effectively.
Collaborate closely with the Assistant/Director of Simulation and Training to monitor, inventory, and maintain all training center equipment, including high-fidelity manikins (e.g., Gaumard models), CPR manikins, and AEDs
Identify and contract with local partners in Knoxville and the surrounding area to expand course offerings and generate community-based revenue
Participate in university committees and represent the program at relevant local and national meetings to improve operations and stay current with best practices
Serve as the primary instructor, teaching life support skills course offerings (BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc.) as dictated by program curricular demand
Maintain continuous current Provider and Instructor certification status with both the American Heart Association (AHA) and the American Health & Safety Institute (ASHI) (CPR, AED, & First Aid).
Ensure all courses meet educational and accreditation standards set by the AHA, ASHI, CIPES
policies, and LMU guidelines
Collaborate with LSS Coordinators at the Harrogate and Knoxville campuses to evaluate course content, equipment, and related issues to drive consistency and continuous quality improvement of program delivery
Mentor and train supported program clinical faculty and external instructional staff, fostering a culture of lifelong learning and instructional excellence
Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students, and the community at large
Foster effective working relationships and communication among faculty, staff, and students
Communicate effectively with course participants, peers, and supervisors, demonstrating advanced conflict resolution and problem-solving skills to promote a cooperative environment
