Job Description

The Continuum of Care (CoC) Manager - Program Manager 1 is primarily responsible for providing overall administrative support and coordination of program activities, including various committees. The Continuum of Care Manager works collaboratively with community partners and HUD-funded sponsor agencies to further the distribution and managing of federal funds granted by HUD. The CoC Manager manages the entire communities process and host/ leads community meetings and processes; CoC General Membership, Point In Time count, Consumer Advisory Board, Homelessness Planning Council, and all other CoC monthly meetings. The Office of Homeless Services (OHS) serves as the Nashville-Davidson County Lead for planning and coordination to build a Housing Crisis Resolution System. In this leadership role, OHS seeks to obtain and maintain resources necessary for our role and to help develop the resources necessary in the community to create an effective Housing Crisis Resolution System. Provides overall administrative support for the Continuum of Care by representing organizations on various work committees and with community partners. Manages the information flow for committees, including engagement of all stakeholders before, during and after meetings, as well as corroborating the agenda, minutes, attendance, committee chair tasks, posting and distribution of information to all members. Works with Committee Chairs on what each meeting entails, formulating objectives, timelines, and communication of the decided tasks to members of the committee and the CoC as a whole, and holding the committees accountable to those formulated objectives. Tracks each committee's membership, work plan, objectives, follow-ups, and action items. Provides general program support and coordination to include assisting with possible event planning and coordination, and the Volunteer Outreach Group. Researches regional and national best practices for Continuum of Care management and operational efficiency by reviewing and analyzing all individual committee proposed initiatives, projects and outreach efforts. Responds promptly to all incoming communications and requests for information to advance effectiveness of all current Continuum of Care initiatives and outcomes by. Maintains, updates, and creates communications on Constant Contacts and share pertinent information regularly with the OHS team, Community, and Homelessness Planning Council.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master's Degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of supervisory and/or administrative experience. OR Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of supervisory and/or administrative experience.
