Job Description

OVERVIEW
We are a non-profit museum that believes in learning through play and strives to promote family fun in an interactive environment where children thrive and get excited about learning. Our Program Specialists bring the museum to life by facilitating educational programs, and ensuring that the museum is a welcoming, energetic place for everyone.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Foster positive, inclusive experiences for visitors of all backgrounds Lead hands-on activities and educational programs (both structured and informal) Motivate caregivers to join in on the fun and learn alongside their children Reset and sanitize exhibits as needed throughout the day to ensure safe operations Complete required reports, paperwork, and confirmation phone calls as needed Utilize museum management systems for POS, program bookings, and reservations Provide excellent customer service to parents, schools, and other community members Represent the museum at community events by spreading excitement about the museum's mission Communicate, collaborate, and work with a diverse team of colleagues and community partners
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Great sense of humor and ability to have fun while maintaining a professional and positive attitude Passion for working with children and families in a dynamic, interactive setting Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and organizational skills Comfortable supervising and ensuring the safety and well-being of children Comfortable with speaking in front of small and large groups Eagerness to learn new systems, processes, and educational curricula Demonstrated reliability, with the ability to meet scheduling and attendance expectations Ability to lift a minimum of 35 lbs and carry for a distance of at least 50 feet, as needed
Pay:
From $10.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 30.0 per week
