POSITION PURPOSE
The Housing & Self‑Sufficiency Program Coordinator I supports Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) participants in achieving financial independence by providing case management, counseling, and program oversight. Using HUD housing assistance as a platform for self‑sufficiency, the role works to meet federal performance requirements and transition families off public assistance. The coordinator performs clerical and technical duties of routine difficulty, processing the required forms and documentation to execute Housing Assistance Program contracts among participants, landlords, and BVCOG. This position works collaboratively within the Public Housing Authority, adheres to federal regulations and BVCOG policies, and interacts regularly with participants and landlords from diverse backgrounds.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Program Coordination & Case Management Develop and monitor FSS participants' self-sufficiency plans with clear, measurable, and achievable goals. Provide continuous case management and counseling, ensuring participants fulfill FSS Contracts and Individual Training and Service Plans. Establish and maintain escrow accounts for eligible FSS participants. Maintain a referral and networking system to connect families with essential supportive services and follow up to ensure service compliance. Actively recruit and retain FSS participants to ensure program capacity. Maintain organized case files and timely documentation, including case notes, monthly reports, and program statistics. Coordinate program workshops, self-sufficiency activities, and orientations for interested applicants. HCV Program Administration Conduct eligibility interviews, verify household income, and determine appropriate housing assistance levels. Certify participants' income, assets, allowances, deductions, utilities, family composition, and other verification data, maintaining an error rate of
