Job Description
Position Summary:
The Partnership Specialist provides direct delivery of mentor2.0 and School-Based Program services to agency clients and volunteers. May be responsible for any or all Program functions in regional area to provide services to clients and volunteers from inquiry to match completion.Essential Functions, Responsibilities, and Activities:
MENTOR2.0
- Enroll volunteers and children including oversight of the application, screening and matching process
- Facilitate high impact relationships between mentor2.0 pairs, including enrollment; monitoring participation; providing individualized attention; proactively assisting relationships through regular communication, support and advice; and identifying pairs who need additional support and implement strategies to improve relationships
- Provide timely and comprehensive assessments and recommendations for participation in the program based upon interviews and other information from each volunteer and client
- Lead weekly mentor2.0 class for mentees at participating schools, including discussion of weekly curriculum
- Lead orientations and training for teachers and mentees
- Organize and staff multiple large scale and multi-faceted mentor-mentee events (i.e. career workshops, museum visits, end-of-year events), overseeing all logistics, content, and budgets, including evening and weekend commitments
- Develop and manage relationships with schools, including teachers and administration

MATCH SUPPORT
In addition to the responsibilities listed above:- Maintain an assigned caseload of Community and/or School Based and/or mentor2.0 matches as assigned and provide match support and relationship development as defined in the Program Manual
- Contact volunteers, parents and youth according to agency standards based on length of match to:
- Provide both on-going risk management and support to keep the match going
- Discuss match activities, personal safety reminders, and goal accomplishments
- Make assessments of individual training needs, information, and support needs for each participant; and
- Share information about agency activities
- Attend match activities as assigned, seeking opportunities to make meaningful in-person contacts with matches
- Conduct match introductions and match closures according to BBBSA and agency standards
- Write and input comprehensive assessment notes within agency database regarding case management discussions according to BBBSA and agency timeframes and standards for every touch point with a match participant.
- Become familiar with community resources for client information/referral and sharing knowledge and information with staff members as appropriate
- Attend and participate in all team, staff and program meetings
- Assist with agency program events as needed Education, Experience, and Other Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a social or human science, such as social work, sociology, psychology, or education
- One year experience in a social service or teaching field preferred
- Prior experience with intake and assessment of adults and/or youth preferred
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel with at least 45 words per minute, error free
- Must be willing and able to work with diverse populations.
- Flexibility and availability to work early evening weekday hours and occasional weekends, as well as travel in the assigned service area
