Program Director - Texas Tech

Lubbock 43847BR TTU K12 Dual Credit Position Description Performs administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and program. Performs varied and complex administrative duties requiring independent judgment and the application of established policies and procedures. May provide supervision and direction to clerical, paraprofessional or professional staff members. Texas Tech K-12 began in 1993 as a "Special Purpose District" designed to help students whose educational needs were not adequately met by traditional school districts. Since then, we have grown to serve students across the country and more than 70 nations around the world. Major/Essential Functions Develop, implement, and oversee all aspects of the dual credit program. Build and maintain partnerships with TTU and school districts to expand program offerings. Create and execute a strategic growth plan to increase student participation and course availability. Develop and grow the TTU College Preparatory Academy, creating pathways that lead to student enrollment at Texas Tech University after graduation. Coordinate with academic departments to align dual credit courses with curriculum standards and graduation requirements. Establish clear policies and procedures for student eligibility, enrollment, advising, and academic progress monitoring. Assist and work with marketing for outreach initiatives to students, parents, counselors, and community stakeholders. Assist the advising department in selecting/identifying students for appropriate dual credit courses. Develop and grow the TTU College Preparatory Academy, creating pathways that lead to student enrollment at Texas Tech University after graduation. Assist in event planning and in person events and conferences. Assist in developing district partnerships and providing support as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Four years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience advising students on academic and career pathways. Background working in online education and public education settings. Experience working with dual credit programs, including student enrollment and course alignment. School counselor or school administrator experience. Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities: Active listening, critical thinking, detail oriented. Able to solve problems quickly and resolve escalations. Strong marketing and outreach skills to promote the program to students, parents, and community stakeholders.
