Driving Full Job Description Job Summary :
The Senior Program Manager leads a team that works in distributing food boxes for eligible seniors. This position provides coordination and oversight of the senior food box program.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Trains new staff in the department.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
Duties/Responsibilities :
  • Lead, support, and assist the Senior Program Team to proactively manage day-to-day operations.
  • Maintain CSFP distribution capacity according to Texas Department of Agriculture caseload assignments
  • Ensure compliance with USDA and Texas Department of Agriculture regulations for program participation
  • Maintain, enter, and process CSFP client and agency information with accuracy and according to deadlines.
  • Ensure that all CSFP inventory is accounted for each month by conducting monthly cycle counts.
  • Complete all assigned aspects of the CSFP food distribution paperwork and reporting including but not limited to the FNS 153 and FNS 191 reports.
  • Plan monthly menu of CSFP food kits and work with management/volunteer services to adequately staff the box builds.
  • Assist Senior Clients in the application process as needed.
  • Provide direction and guidance to staff and ensure completion of all staff duties.
  • Review and revise all schedules as needed.
  • Manage the development and implementation of SPFB's home delivery program.
  • Supervise full-time staff members.
  • Work jointly with Senior Program Staff to distribute boxes to eligible recipients at distribution sites.
  • Attend various networking and professional meetings
  • Work alternative hours as required, including Saturdays.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities :
    Education :
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required in related field preferred; may be replaced with comparable experience.
      Certifications :
      Certification in Serv Safe a plus
        Experience :
        Minimum of two years relevant experience in non-profit, human services or management fields is a plus
          Skills :
          • Must have proficient computer skills with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
          • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
          • Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
          • Ability to juggle and adapt to multiple projects with attention to detail and accuracy while adhering to
          • deadlines in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
          • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
          • Strong ethical character capable of exercising good judgment and discretion and handling confidential information.
          • Must have a valid Texas Driver's License and acceptable driving record to meet insurance recommendations.
          • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
          • Committed to the organizational mission of ending hunger.
          Physical Requirements:
          • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings when necessary.
          • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
