Cleaning Full Job Description Youth Engagement Specialist Duties:
  • Assist with resident transportation as needed. Daily on-site support to residents as necessary in collaboration with the Chief Program Officer/Crisis Manager/Human Trafficking Advocate. Assist students in accomplishing individual program goals by setting daily routines.
  • Assist residents with cooking and/or meal planning. Keeping residents accountable for their rotating chores and assist the residents with cleaning and organizing on a daily and weekly basis. Perform room and house checks daily. Assist residents in preparing homes for tours and Open Houses.
  • Perform drug tests of residents when requested by Chief Program Officer or CEO.
Assist in preparation of family style dinner nights with residents. Intervening in crisis; providing support. Communicate residents progress to Chief Program Officer. Participate in fundraising events. Decorate BDCO homes for the holidays. Assist in teaching life skills to residents.
Requirements:
Must embrace the mission of BDCO. Strong leadership skills. Strong interpersonal and writing skills. Proven ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Strong desire / calling to work with residents who come from trauma. Desire to teach and equip residents. Possesses the ability to exhibit calmness, patience, self-control, empathy, and compassion when working directly with BDCO residents. Ability to stay calm and make clear decisions in emergency situations. High level of comfort working within an extremely diverse and multicultural environment. Possess the skills to work well with residents, staff, board members and volunteers. Have the desire to build external relationships. Display a positive attitude, show concern for people and community, demonstrate presence, self-confidence, common sense, and good listening ability. Able to climb stairs and remain an active participant in activities of daily living. College degree preferred but not required; experience in a social environment strongly encouraged.
