Job Description

Position Summary:
The Program Director of Medical Staff provides strategic and operational direction for all medical staff programs and projects. This includes leading initiatives related to credentialing, privileging, quality improvement, education (e.g. CME), clinical informatics, healthcare delivery and business models within MCHS and the community, and regulatory compliance (e.g., DNV, CMS). The role demands a results-oriented leader with excellent communication skills who can manage complex projects, mitigate risks, and facilitate collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Qualifications:
A.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare, Project Management, or healthcare related field; two (2) years related experience and/or training. Master's degree preferred. B.
Training and Experience:
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to be assertive and to follow through with limited supervision.
  • Education or experience managing large, high risk, highly complex projects that may have high corporate visibility or be strategic to the organization and one or more years of management responsibility.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards related to information management.
  • Excellent technology skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • Knowledge of current medical technologies and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to guide project stakeholders in defining project scope and ensuring the effective utilization of resources.
Unusual Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
A. Sustained standing, sitting, stooping, bending, ascending/descending stairs, or walking. B. Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities. C. Performing repetitive tasks involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. D. May encounter exposure to infectious diseases.
