About the
Role:
The real estate market is undergoing significant and exciting changes driven by innovations in data and technology. Digital and Technology powered products play a vital role in CBRE's mission to create unmatched value for our clients. Every year, CBRE invests heavily in the improvement and growth of its technology portfolio. These global technology programs are highly complex and have a high-risk profile proportionate to the rewards and value expected to be realized upon completion. These programs require the maturity, foresight, and tenacity of a seasoned Engagement Director to ensure successful delivery. As a CBRE Strategic Governance Engagement Director, you will lead 1-2 pivotal technology programs or internal initiatives, overseeing their entire lifecycle from initial planning and design through to successful delivery. You will collaborate closely with business and technology product owners to craft program strategies and roadmaps, define and mobilize projects, and meticulously manage execution. This role also entails owning the program's business case, rigorously reviewing performance metrics, driving continuous improvement, and actively engaging with senior executives in governance forums, alongside managing critical stakeholder relationships.What You'll Do:
Lead the successful delivery of large-scale technology programs and initiatives, managing their entire lifecycle from planning through execution, including proactive risk and issue management, escalation, and action closure, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. Develop and refresh multi-year technology roadmaps and product strategies for business units and global capabilities, integrating internal, client, competitor, and industry insights. Drive cross-functional partnership by deeply understanding business functions, processes, and objectives. Develop robust business cases with clear benefit commitments. Continuously measure program performance against identified value sources, capital projects, and key outcomes to ensure benefits are realized and drive continuous improvement. Provide strategic insight into technology and innovation, demonstrating familiarity with common industry solutions (e.g., ERP, CRM, SFA) and advising on modern product development practices (e.g., agile, design thinking). Drive innovation in program management through new tools, templates, and techniques. Facilitate effective communication with senior executives and stakeholders through various written reports (e.g., status, Steering Committee reports) and meetings, influencing alignment and execution. Provide program governance support. Manage, coach, and train team members from Digital & Technology or business-facing groups involved in managed projects and programs. Oversee capital management processes and technology, including roadmap development, solution design, implementation, and compliance monitoring, as well as managing associated reports and dashboards. Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 10 years of relevant experience in a strategic program management role. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Previous experience in general or strategic management consulting (e.g. Accenture, McKinsey, etc.) Ability to motivate team members with influence and accomplish goals Proactive in identifying problems early and to prioritize deliverables Good combination of technical and business background Effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels Self-motivated, smart and quick to learn Interest in, and focus on, customers and passionate about creating good user experiences Willing to travel (likely 20-30%), locally and internationally Excellent project management and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience in agile software development processesWhy CBRE:
