Accordingly, if you will now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status this moratorium may affect our ability to employ you should you be selected as the final candidate. ________________________________________________________________________ The Program Specialist I, under general supervision and reporting directly to the Department Head, coordinates the planning, development, and implementation of the social work programs. This position will assist in the admissions and enrollment processes; provide program support; maintain departmental communications; manage records and ensure compliance; and provide office support. This is a full-time, in-office position located on Tarleton's main campus in Stephenville, Texas.
Work hours:
Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate which may entail some evenings and weekends pending scheduled activities. Requires the ability to work remotely at the University's discretion. Responsibilities 35%
Department and Program Support:
Assists in managing the academic calendar for the department including scheduling classes, exams, meetings and other events related to the Department of Social Work. Collaborates with Program Directors and faculty to plan and develop specialized programs such as open houses, orientation, conferences, seminars, lectures, meetings, workshops, and tours. Plans, implements, coordinates, analyzes, monitors, and evaluates administrative support functions. Assists in the development and maintenance of budget, purchasing, special reports, and other documents. Provides administrative support to the Department Head and faculty. Assists with admissions and matriculation processes. Maintains program supplies and equipment. Works closely with the Department Head and Program Directors for student recruitment, outreach, and open houses. 30%
Program Communications:
Maintains program brochures with current information. Coordinates specialized communications and marketing. Attends departmental and program meetings and records, distributes and maintains minutes. Facilitates incoming inquiries from students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders providing timely and accurate responses or directing inquiries to the appropriate person. 30%
Records and Compliance Management:
Maintains and updates student records. Assists in the development and documentation of departmental policies and procedures. Analyzes data and assists in the preparation and maintenance of special reports and other required documentation to internal and external stakeholders. 5%
Other Responsibilities:
Performs other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience. No prior experience required. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Ability to prioritize tasks and work cooperatively with others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills. Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment.
Compensation & Benefits Salary:
Commensurate with experience
Salary Range:
The target base annual salary range is $41,000 up to $43,000 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
