Job Description
The Program Coordinator position serves as primary support for all Nursing online programs including contracts and document tracking. They also assist in clerical and administrative tasks as for the Department of Nursing as assigned. Collect pictures, create and mail department ID badges for all online students and faculty as applicable. Review background checks, drug screens, immunizations (FNP Program) and RN licenses (update info on spreadsheet). Assist online students and faculty with all clinical placement contracts for graduate programs. Create, update, post, collect and review FNP (graduate) nursing applications. Notify students of their application status (approved, denied, incomplete or alternate). Assist with on-line program orientations. Prepare a spreadsheet listing enrollments for all online students every term. Submit to registrar's office credits received for credentialing that students have already received. Work with online students, online advisors, admissions, register's office and others for all online questions and troubleshooting. In charge of archiving all nursing student records and scanning on BMI. Oversee student secretary(s) with scanning of records and properly destroy hard copies after they are electronically stored. Record all department meeting minutes and manage Department Canvas Web Page. Maintain current syllabi for all online courses. Assist Department Chair and online Graduate Director with grant, accreditation and other reports. Track requests and purchases for online students for pins and stoles for graduation. Search approved vendors for nursing memorabilia/swag to purchase and send to online students (after approval from Department Administration). Update DON handbooks for online programs. Tracks demographics and clinical experiences for all online programs for various reports including accrediting body (CCNE). Assist with program recruitment and general administrative duties. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications 2 Year / Associate degree or 5 Years of office experience. Experience with and knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Forms/Docs. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to work with diverse groups and as a member of a team. Preferred Qualifications 4 Year / Bachelors degree. This position is contingent on Funding. This is an 11 month position (.917 FTE). Due to recent changes in H1B visa fees, Southern Utah University is no longer able to sponsor international faculty and staff that require an H1B visa and are currently living outside of the United States.
