$7,000 POSITION
OBJECTIVE
The K-8 Summer Difference Coordinator shall contribute to the development of a high quality Summer School Program and oversee daily operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Michigan teaching certificate and administrative degree preferred Evidence of recent course work, in-service activities, or experiences which were directed to improving professional competence; facilitation of adult learning Demonstrated ability to work successfully with colleagues in growth experiences Demonstrated successful use of effective differentiated instruction Current knowledge of district curriculum in the areas of Literacy and Mathematics Demonstration of ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to specific audiences Successful experience as a teacher-leader at the building level Assist teachers in the implementation of strategies to address needs identified by data analysis, using a variety of instructional strategies and research-based interventions Ability to use technology efficiently and effectively
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Registration
  • Manage student registration process and creation of sections. Staffing
  • Confirm placement of teachers hired for summer programs. Assign teachers to sections. Materials/Programming
  • Organize any materials/programming needed. Professional Learning
  • Attend PL as related to Summer programs. Communications
  • Responsible for all parent, student and summer school staff communications. Monitor
  • In-person summer program site(s). Data/Surveys
  • Compile data (attendance, surveys, etc.
) on program results. Develop positive professional relationships with staff, facilitate meaningful conversations and create safe spaces for growth and realistic reflection. Facilitates collaborations, sharing of ideas and celebrations of success. Assist Teaching and Learning Team in planning and facilitation of related projects/initiatives during the Spring.
