Job Description
Kaizen Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Director to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of adolescents while managing and developing a high-performing team. Key Responsibilities Actively participate in weekly treatment, administrative, and strategic planning meetings Oversee hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of approximately 30 staff members Lead, motivate, and support team performance and professional development Develop and manage departmental budgets, including payroll and program activities Maintain consistent communication with parents, providing updates and support Serve as an emergency contact for both staff and families as needed Support and participate in Kaizen Academy's outdoor adventure program (e.g., skiing, mountain biking, kayaking, hiking, camping, fishing, etc.) Implement and oversee training in the organization's behavior management system Qualifications Proven leadership experience in a residential treatment, behavioral health, or similar setting Strong organizational, communication, and team management skills Experience managing budgets and departmental operations Ability to work collaboratively with clinical teams, families, and staff Passion for working with adolescents in a therapeutic environment Willingness to participate in outdoor experiential programming Preferred Qualifications Background in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field Experience working with at-risk youth or in residential treatment settings Prior experience with behavior management systems or crisis intervention Why Join Kaizen Academy?
