Program Objective :

The Shipping Management Program (SMP) is a 24‑month program designed for recent college graduates who are eager to start a meaningful career in global trade. As an SMP Participant, you will gain hands‑on experience working alongside industry experts at OOCL, supported by a dedicated mentor throughout the program. This is a unique opportunity to build foundational knowledge of the international shipping and supply chain industry while developing leadership and operational skills.

Program Structure:

The Shipping Management Program is a two‑year development program designed to build a strong foundation in global trade and logistics. Participants rotate through three core business functions, including Customer Service , Operations , and Sales , gaining exposure to how OOCL operates across its network. Successful completion of the program positions participants for potential placement within a department that aligns with their performance, interests, and organizational needs.

Looking For:

Ideal candidates are recent graduates (2024-2026) obtaining a bachelor's degree in the following preferred majors: Global Supply Chain Management Operations & Supply Chain Management International Business / International Trade / International Relations Global Trade Economics Business Management Other Business‑related majors We re seeking individuals who are: Interested in global trade, international operations and logistics, and international business Eager to learn and grow in a dynamic, global environment Strong communicators who enjoy problem solving and collaboration Requirements Bachelor s degree (preferably in one of the majors listed above) Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook required, Power BI preferred) Strong verbal and written communication skills in English Ability to work onsite full time Benefits Medical & dental premiums 100% company paid Optional vision insurance 401(k) AND pension plan Paid Time Off + Sick Time Off + Paid Personal Days in addition to PTO Major holidays paid Tuition Assistance after 12 months Employee Assistance Program Referral bonus All employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
