OVERVIEW
The Matching Grant Program assists refugees in finding employment and becoming self-sufficient. The Matching Grant Program Officer will report to the Associate Director for Community Integration and will work as part of the Matching Grant program team. The Program Officer will support the management of a major federal grant by assisting with reporting and project analysis associated with the Matching Grant program and providing training and technical assistance to 40 local offices participating in the Matching Grant program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide national oversight of program activities; Provide training and technical assistance on the subject matter to a national network of providers; Ensure outcomes and compliance with federal guidelines through monitoring and evaluation activities; Collect data, write reports, provide support to the Associate Director in proposal continuation applications; Provide strong support and guidance on subject matter to network; and Other duties as assigned. All of the above duties and responsibilities are essential job functions subject to reasonable accommodation. POSITION REQUIREMENTS A
Bachelor's degree with three to five years' relevant experience with domestic refugee resettlement programs. Demonstrated experience providing case management and employment services domestically or relief services overseas is highly desirable; Strong writing and computer skills are essential along with a background in grant management and training; Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong writing and demonstrated intercultural communication capability; Detailed oriented and experience working with tracing and verifying data preferred; Proficient in the use of MS Word, MS Access, MS Excel and database programs; Highly adaptable and flexible with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a demanding work environment; Positive attitude and willingness to be part of a team and also work independently is highly desirable; Must have the flexibility to travel domestically; and Dedication to the rights of refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers, and displaced persons. Demonstrated support of USCRI's values by exhibiting respect for others, maintenance of confidential information and an appreciation of a multicultural workplace.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Satisfactory completion of USCRI's Orientation and Training; Complete additional training as identified by supervisor or Human Resources.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity; Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands; Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying; and Quantitative/mathematical ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, standard measurements).
