Job Description

Saint John Paul the Great is seeking an Attendance Officer for the 2026-27 school year. The attendance officer is responsible for overseeing daily student attendance. This includes monitoring individual class attendance through PowerSchool as well as receiving phone call and email communication from parents. The attendance officer is responsible for following up with students and parents regarding tardies and absences that have not been reported, and at times issuing minor disciplinary consequences. This is a 10 month position. Candidates should be extremely detail-oriented, familiar with the Google Suite and be able to adapt to other computer programs such as PowerSchool, SafeArrival, and SchoolMessenger. Candidates must be excellent multi-taskers and possess strong communication skills with students, parents, and teachers. The attendance officer must also be able to work in a busy environment.
