Program Leader or Assistant

Duties Lead or assist in planning and executing educational, recreational, and developmental activities tailored to various age groups. Manage classroom or activity space to ensure a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for children and youth. Support children's social-emotional development through positive behavior management techniques and encouragement. Maintain clear communication with parents, guardians, and team members regarding program progress and child needs. Implement safety protocols including first aid procedures and emergency response plans to ensure participant well-being at all times. Support the overall operation of childcare or camp programs by assisting with setup, cleanup, record keeping, and compliance with licensing standards. Skills Strong classroom management skills to create a disciplined yet nurturing environment. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development best practices. Experience in working with children across diverse settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or babysitting. Ability to apply behavior management strategies effectively to promote positive interactions. Familiarity with first aid procedures and child safety protocols. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and engaging with parents or guardians.

Pay:

$13.00 - $17.00 per hour
