Duties Help The primary purpose of the position is to collabore with the command leadership and serve as a non-clinical trainer to ensure the delivery of integred primary prevention programs designed to foster individual, group, and organizional health and performance to reduce and prevent problemic/destructive behaviors. These integred prevention programs address behaviors including, but not limited to, suicide, sexual harassment, sexual assault, substance misuse, family and interpersonal violence, workplace violence, and military equal opportunity. The EIPC collabores with other prevention enablers to assess the health of a unit, serving on the Command Resiliency Team, and coordines with subject mter experts across programs in implementing prevention initiives and training/educion. Workshop offerings may include stress management, anger management, effective communicion, parenting educion, operional stress control, successful adaption to military life, pre/post deployment and child abuse or domestic abuse identificion/prevention and interpersonal violence. The success of this position is based on the incumbent's ability to successfully embed within the command and opere within a shipboard environment. The EIPC actively engages crew members in various resiliency programs in order to ensure highest level of crew readiness for complex missions sea. Duties include but are not limited to: Establishes prevention activities the command and unit level, to include determining goals, objectives, measures of performance, and effectiveness, assessments, and milestones. Work with command leadership and Command Resilience Teams (CRTs) to identify existing or potential risk factors th can lead to problemic/destructive behaviors and recommends preventive measures the installion, command, or unit can take to address the potential risk factors. May assist the command leadership in participing in prevention-based research. Reviews and coordines relevant primary prevention actions and projects across programs and ensures completion des are met within established timeframes. Develops populion-based and/or targeted prevention efforts to support the unique needs of the installion, command, and/or unit level. Executes core functions of an optimized prevention system, such as engagement, implemention, evaluion, and integrion. Serves as a non-clinical trainer/educor and is responsible for collaboring with the Deployed Resiliency Counselor (DRC) and the command leadership in assessing the training need and ensuring the delivery of a wide variety of educional programs and services. Facilites prevention classes th focuses on building resiliency, enhancing adaption to the unique challenges of military life and reduce unplanned losses. Provides Fleet & Family Support Center (FFSC) training. The entire portfolio of Work & Family Life (WFL), Counseling Advocacy Program (CAP), NGS, and Sexual Assault Prevention & Response (SAPR) training should be provided based on commands training needs. Gives routine presentions to leadership on command prevention efforts and impact. Delivers ongoing primary prevention training and educion, as needed, to build and sustain prevention capacity and capability. Deploys to deliver Departure and Separion and Return & Reunion workshops. Supports the homeport FFSC general and crisis response programs, to include emergency preparedness and mass care, when not deployed. Assists the DRC and the command in the coordinion of special project activities reled to the CAP, SAPR and WFL programs, including, but not limited to command directed or FFSC monthly themes and resiliency projects. Refers Sailors for counseling and/or other services to the Deployed Resiliency Coordinor or the homeport FFSC. Coordines with the DRC in planning scheduled workshops, programs, command briefs and general military trainings (GMTs) presented on the ship and other locions. This position is mission essential; incumbent may be required to travel, deploy, or provide services homeport during a variety of crisis and disasters. The work schedule while deployed will vary depending on requirements. The incumbent on call 24 hours a day while deployed for crisis intervention situions. At sea, the incumbent shares a steroom in officer berthing; meals are obtained by joining the Officers' Mess as a paying member, and meals are purchased by monthly billing. Incumbent required to deploy sea on board US Navy ships. Deployment lengths will vary from a few days to over 10 months a time. Due to the unique nure of the position, selectee required to complete a physical examinion upon entry to duty and annually thereafter and be determined to be physical fit for shipboard duty all times. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain a US No-Fee Passport upon employment. Must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to opere a motor vehicle. Skill in delivery of educion services, with a focus on human/personal growth and development. Skill in consulting with management to obtain or exchange informion about work objectives, processes, procedures, and policies. Skill in networking and collaboring with all military services. Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to identify needs, trends, and performance measures to evalue program effectiveness and provide recommendions for process improvements. Ability to effectively communice both orally and in writing with all levels of management, staff, and military personnel. Ability to compose written reports and merial clearly, concisely, and effectively. Ability to deliver evidenced-based prevention training/educion to a wide variety of audiences. Ability to use da management and reporting systems to collect and organize da drawn from dabases. Ability to maintain accure stistical framework for program da collection and reports. Educion A bachelor's degree or higher in adult educion, behavioral science, social science, or in a reled behavioral science field AND three years of specialized experience reled to the work of the position.
