Job Description

The Loudoun County Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Developmental Services is seeking a talented and motivated individual to serve as a Team Coordinator within Residential Services. MHSADS is seeking a Team Coordinator-Residential to join our team in supporting the oversight of the assigned residential program under the direction of a Program Manager. In this role, the successful candidate: Provides assistance and consultation to staff providing crisis intervention and stabilization to individuals with acute and high-risk symptoms on an almost daily basis. Ensures that documentation is timely, accurate and submitted according to policy and procedure; ensures that information is complete and accurate in Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and other applicable systems and maintains program records. Assists Program Managers with program oversight including facilitating staff meetings, providing coaching, support, and feedback to address performance, productivity, and organization of staff within the assigned program, and advises supervisor of challenges with staffing, workload, or performance. Ensures the effective use of evidence-based or evidence-informed interventions, the efficiency of the program, and conducts quality assurance reviews. Completes appraisals of staff performance; ensures staff is trained and certifications are current; ensures staff adhere to all applicable policies and procedures of the department, of the county, and other governing bodies. Reviews and/or completes screenings, comprehensive assessments, and other assessment tools to determine types, intensity, frequency, and duration of support and interventions in the treatment plan. Provides direct care to individuals and helps ensure all supports and interventions for individuals are provided in a person-centered, recovery-oriented manner. Participates in the hiring and onboarding process for new employees within the program and conducts staff training. Hiring salary commensurate with experience. Master's degree in a human services field; t wo (2) years of professional experience working with people living with developmental disabilities, mental health or substance use disorders; o r equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as: QDDP (Qualified Developmental Disability Professional) or QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional). Previous experience in residential services for adults with developmental disabilities, mental health and/or substance use disorders. Previous supervisory experience. Knowledge of Medicaid waiver services. Experience in Person-Centered, customer-focused philosophy of service delivery. Be able to communicate ideas clearly, concisely, and effectively, both verbally and in writing. The standard work schedule is 37.5 hours per week and includes requirements outside of usual county operating hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and possibly overnights. This position is designated as essential staff and may be required to work during inclement weather, disasters, and during other emergencies. Must be available for duty beyond normal workday as required to perform functions of Manager on Duty for Residential Services on a rotating basis. Employment is contingent upon successfully passing pre-employment background check to include fingerprinting, credit, NCIC, DMV, and TB test. Must have a good driving record and a valid driver's license in Virginia or regional state of residence.
