Full-time Description Duties and Responsibilities:
Interprets and applies laws, policies, and regulations in assigned area of responsibility, specifically, resource family homes, foster care, adoption and child protective services Maintains a general knowledge of child welfare policies and principles Completes Mutual Family Assessments and reassessments of resource families, kinship families and ICPC Maintains licensing standards for all resource homes in accordance with policy. Accurately maintains reporting and documentation on the licensing status of all resource homes. Engages in retention activities of resource families Monitor, coordinates, and administers recruitment activities that generate the quantity and quality of inquiries for viable licensed resource homes Maintains and implements an annual recruitment plan Monitors, coordinates, and administers PRIDE and other ancillary trainings Performs case management activities for all resource family homes
Requirements:
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a Human Services field or minimum of a bachelor's degree in any related field and completion of required training programs or equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities Minimum two years of experience in assigned program area Possession of a BSW or MSW degree and a Commonwealth of Virginia Social Work License preferred Valid driver's license The City of Winchester is an Equal Opportunity Employer and will consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or any other classification protected by law.
