Summer Group Lead:
OPEN TO FULL TIME GARVIN SCHOOL STAFF ONLY
  • The Contracted
  • Summer Group Lead is responsible for the overall safety and therapeutic culture of summer groups.
Essential Functions:
  • Delegate responsibilities and assure tasks are completed
  • Organize the logistics of activities, groupings and day-to-day schedule
  • Identify, contact and schedule off-site field trips. May delegate to others.
  • Lead daily huddles and communicate updates to all staff, including LOD
  • Oversee accurate attendance and reporting
  • Lead planning, organization and schedule of daily activities
  • Oversee materials acquisition and preparation
  • Adjust plans as needed due to weather. Proactively create "bad weather" plans
  • Communicate with Admin Leaders and parents as necessary
  • Model professionalism, enthusiasm and respect
  • Triage, problem solving and crisis management with Admin support
  • Ensure 2-way communication among staff re: daily needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid driver's license and use of a personal vehicle CPR/FA certification Therapeutic Crisis Intervention certification Certified Lifeguard preferred CPR/FA for the Professional Rescuer certification preferred Current full-time employment within HC program
Structure:
Contracted Non-exempt Weekly Stipend of $300
