This position provides recent Landmark College graduates with a valuable opportunity to enhance their skills, gain real-world experience, and build connections that will aid in their long-term career goals. PGAP is committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and professional environment, supporting the growth of each individual throughout their assistantship. Designed specifically for alumni of Landmark College, this program provides hands-on support and development for individuals transitioning from academic life to professional careers. The assistantships are intended to offer short-term, intentional employment opportunities, providing a bridge from college into the workforce.
Position Description:
The PGAP assistantship role is a non-benefited, part-time position with a commitment of 30 hours per week, for a duration of up to one academic year. These positions are designed for recent graduates from Landmark College who are seeking practical field experience in a specific area of interest, while benefiting from continued support as they move forward in their careers. Assistantships offer a blend of individual responsibility, professional development, and team collaboration. The role will be tailored to the needs of the specific department or program, and successful candidates will gain meaningful exposure to professional environments, critical industry skills, and networking opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in department-specific tasks and initiatives related to the assistantship focus area Collaborate with full-time staff and alumni to gain insights and expand knowledge within the field Complete designated projects and assignments under the guidance of a supervisor Attend and participate in regular check-ins, team meetings, and training opportunities Receive mentorship and feedback as part of an employee support circle to ensure a successful transition into a professional environment Contribute to a positive workplace culture and demonstrate professionalism and strong community engagement
Support and Development Framework:
PGAP offers structured support to help assistantship participants thrive in their roles. The support circle, which may include supervisors, HR personnel, Alumni Relations, and fellow alumni in full-time staff positions, is a key element of the program. This circle provides consistent mentorship and professional guidance, and ensures a smooth transition into the workplace for neurodivergent graduates. The circle aims to provide timely feedback, troubleshooting, and additional support to help participants succeed in their assistantship roles and beyond.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must have graduated from Landmark College within the past few years Candidates should demonstrate the professional skills required to enter the workforce Applicants should exhibit positive community engagement and a commitment to professional growth This position is ideal for individuals who are ready to transition into their careers and want to gain additional field-specific experience
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly Pay:
$19 per hour
Housing:
Included at a reduced rate of $260/month.
Meals:
Eligible for the employee reduced meal rate.
