The Energy Services Coordinator is responsible for the oversight and daily operations of Energy Services Programs serving Whatcom, Island, and San Juan Counties. This position provides direct supervision of both direct program staff and supervisory personnel. Plays a central role in program coordination, service delivery, compliance, and community outreach. The coordinator maintains program documentation, manages databases, prepares reports, and leads ongoing program development. In addition to administrative responsibilities, this role provides direct client services, develops and maintains outreach sites and vendor relationships, and actively engages with the broader human services community. The coordinator interprets program policies, supports staff in complex client situations, and helps mobilize resources to meet the needs of low-income individuals and families.WORK SCHEDULE
Monday through Friday 8AM to 4:30 PMESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise program staff and supervisory personnel serving Whatcom. Island, and San Juan Counties, including hiring, onboarding, training and professional development, performance evaluation, coaching, and all related personnel documentation. Oversee daily program management operations, including eligibility determination, program requirements, database administration, and continuous program development and improvement. Track direct service funding and prepare billing for assigned programs in a timely and accurate manner. Manage grants with a high focus on compliance monitoring, reporting, and adherence to funder requirements. Maintain program manuals for staff reference and conduct regular reviews of staff work files to ensure quality and compliance. Handle confidential client information with discretion, maintaining privacy in accordance with agency, funder, state, and federal guidelines. Build and sustain cooperative working relationships with partner agencies, vendors, and service providers across Whatcom, Island, and San Juan Counties. Develop and maintain outreach sites to ensure accessible services for the communities served. Actively participate in human services community efforts and regional initiatives to address the needs of low-income people. Provide direct services to clients as needed, offering support and applying program policy to individualized situations.OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
Bachelor's degree, and Minimum three years' experience with demonstrated leadership experience including direct supervision of diverse staff, or An equal combination of education and experience. Valid Washington State driver's license and five-year driving history within Opportunity Council's Auto Insurance Standards.
