Job Summary :
Consistent with the Strategic Plan, the principal goal of this role is to have a positive and equitable impact on student learning by coordinating categorical program support within a three-tiered Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework. The primary role is to facilitate the blending and braiding of LAP, ELD, Title I, and Highly Capable services through effective progress monitoring, data-driven decision making, and coordinated service delivery across all tiers. This position supports categorical program teachers and general education staff in implementing Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics through curriculum-aligned instruction, technology-enhanced progress monitoring, and collaborative intervention planning that ensures compliance while maximizing student outcomes. Duties and Responsibilities:

MTSS & Categorical Program Integration Coordinate LAP, ELD, Title I, and Highly Capable programs within district MTSS framework Partner with specialists and teachers to align program requirements, compliance, and outcomes with tiered interventions Ensure seamless integration with CCSS implementation in ELA and Math Progress Monitoring & Data Systems Lead implementation and coaching of progress monitoring systems for tracking growth and documenting interventions Support use of curriculum-embedded assessments, data platforms, and instructional technology across Tiers 1-3 Coordinate data collection and reporting meeting compliance requirements and informing instruction Enable real-time data analysis through learning management systems and digital assessment tools Blended & Braided Service Delivery Facilitate coordinated service delivery integrating general education with categorical programs Coach co-planning, co-teaching, and differentiation strategies Develop protocols for collaborative intervention planning and resource allocation Tiered Intervention Support Provide coaching on differentiated Tier 1 instruction, intensive Tier 2 interventions, and individualized Tier 3 supports Facilitate MTSS team meetings and problem-solving protocols Ensure appropriate identification, placement, and progress monitoring in categorical programs Professional Development for Categorical Programs Deliver training on curriculum adoptions, MTSS, progress monitoring, and coordinated service delivery Integrate instruction on technology tools, learning management systems, and digital literacy Address compliance documentation, family communication, and equitable resource access Instructional Coaching Mentor teachers in curriculum-aligned instruction meeting categorical program objectives Provide job-embedded coaching on curricula, resources, and strategies to accelerate learning Support technology integration to enhance instruction and streamline documentation Curriculum-Based Intervention Planning Identify and implement curriculum-aligned interventions within MTSS framework Collaborate with categorical program teachers on standards-based instructional resources Enhancement & Acceleration Develop approaches supporting acceleration for struggling and advanced learners Ensure categorical services provide appropriate challenge and grade-level standards access Compliance & Program Coordination Ensure services meet state and federal compliance requirements Develop systems tracking eligibility, service delivery, and progress monitoring Research & Innovation Analyze trends and research evidence-based practices for categorical programs Recommend district standards meeting specialized needs while ensuring MTSS alignment and compliance Project Management & Systems Development Manage multiple concurrent projects supporting MTSS and categorical program implementation Develop systems and protocols facilitating efficient service delivery and collaborative planning Reporting Relationship:
Reports to the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning. Working Conditions:
Required to facilitate groups and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including categorical program teachers, general education staff, administrators, and families. Required to meet inflexible deadlines related to categorical program reporting and compliance. Required to operate a motor vehicle and travel between sites. Occasionally required to work flexible and irregular hours to complete tasks and support school-based professional development. Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience Bachelor's degree required Experience working in a K-12 classroom setting, preferably with categorical programs (LAP, ELD, Title I, or Highly Capable) Experience training adults and developing curriculum, particularly in the context of MTSS, progress monitoring, or categorical program implementation Working knowledge of instructional technologies, learning management systems, and digital tools that support progress monitoring, differentiated instruction, and data management for categorical programs Experience with program coordination, compliance, or instructional coaching preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Deep understanding of MTSS frameworks and how categorical programs integrate within tiered systems of support Knowledge of categorical program requirements, compliance standards, and accountability measures for LAP, ELD, Title I, and Highly Capable programs Ability to apply knowledge of instructional principles and practices to effectively coach and teach adult learners Understanding of blended and braided service delivery models and strategies for coordinating instruction across general and categorical programs Proficiency in progress monitoring systems, data management platforms, and curriculum-embedded assessment tools Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and write clearly for compliance and reporting purposes Ability to organize work, set priorities, and meet deadlines under pressure, particularly related to categorical program timelines and accountability requirements Strong facilitation and collaboration skills to lead cross-functional teams and problem-solving processes Licenses/Special Requirements Valid Washington State driver's license; Washington State teaching certificate preferred. Salary :
2025-26 Non-Represented (NNRAP) Professional/Technical Salary Schedule (salary will be updated according to the 2026-27 school year salary schedule once it has been approved); Level I; placement on the salary schedule will be determined by Human Resources DOE. FLSA
Exempt. Work Year :
12 month position, 260 days per year, 8.0 hours per day. Benefits :
