293387361 Job Description The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Child Watch Lead to join our team. The YMCA focuses on empowering people in all forms, by improving health and well-being and inspiring action in and across our neighborhoods. This position supports the work of the Y, a leading non-profit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. As a Child Watch Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe, caring, and fun learning environment for children ages 6 weeks to 7 years while parents are utilizing the YMCA facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure a safe, caring, and fun learning environment for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years while parents are utilizing the YMCA facilities. Assist and support the supervision of the Child Watch program under the directions of the Program Director. Provide a quality experience focused on YMCA core values of Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Caring. Are you a good fit? Committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment. High school graduate or equivalent (preferred). One year or more of related experience (preferred). Previous experience working with children of all ages preferably in a program setting and diverse populations. Demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem solving skills. Knowledge and skills in program activities and related office equipment, and the ability to instruct youth classes in sports, games, and activities. Possess the knowledge and skills needed to support youth staff and classes. Current CPR, First Aid, AED certifications (preferred) Able and willing to complete Child Abuse Prevention training on first day and other online or in-person training as required. Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).

Wage:

 $18.24 to $18.39 per hour, depending on qualifications

Hours:

Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week
