As The Director of Chronic Disease Coordination, you will support program collaboration across all Pierce and Kitsap YMCA locations, ensuring programs are effective, HIPAA-compliant, and aligned with YMCA policies, procedures, and best practices. If hired, you will oversee the delivery of Evidence-Based Health Intervention (EBHI) programs, including the YMCA Diabetes Prevention Program, LIVESTRONG at the Y, Pedaling for Parkinson's, ACT, and Enhance®Fitness.
Compensation:
$23.70 to $24.83 per hour (Compensation is determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, with most new hires starting between the minimum and midpoint of the posted wage range)

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
Minimum of 18 years of age or older. Must possess and maintain YMCA of the USA Lifeguard Supervisor certification. Must possess and maintain YMCA Lifeguard Certification, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, First Aid and Oxygen Certifications. Minimum of six months of aquatics experience including 100 hours of lifeguard service is required. Bachelor's degree and/or two years related knowledge and experience that include supervision, fiscal management, program development, staff, and volunteer development (preferred). Positive attitude and previous experience with diverse populations. The demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Proven supervisory/management skills. Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act). Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.
Essential Functions:
Two or more years of relevant experience, including knowledge of HIPAA, electronic records management systems, and wellness coaching (preferred) Bachelor's Degree in related field (preferred) Expertise in EBHI and healthy living programs (preferred) Demonstrated skills in program development (planning, organization, and implementation) and Human Resources (training, supervision, and evaluation) are essential Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships and collaborations with community organizations Excellent communication skills, including verbal, listening, and written skills Positive attitude and previous experience with diverse populations Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act). Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required. Have or commit to obtaining EBHI program certifications, CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
