Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Volunteer & Program Coordinator to strengthen Thrive Center Tacoma to lead the volunteer engagement and coordinate empowerment programs for immigrant and refugee families, with a focus on youth and women. development, management, and expansion of our volunteer initiatives and community programs. In this role, you will inspire and mobilize volunteers, oversee program operations, and foster strong relationships with community partners. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of impactful programs that advance our mission and create meaningful engagement for all stakeholders. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference through strategic volunteer management and innovative program coordination. Responsibilities Recruit, train, place, and support individual and group volunteers. Maintain volunteer platforms, databases, and records; track hours and outcomes. Coordinate volunteer teams for service projects and annual appreciation events. Support and oversee youth and women's empowerment programs. Build partnerships with schools, businesses, and faith communities to expand program offerings. Support events, workshops, and cultural activities that strengthen community integration. Collaborate with Thrive staff to integrate volunteers into programs and services. Qualifications Strong organizational, communication, and cross-cultural skills. Experience in volunteer coordination, program development, or community engagement. Ability to manage multiple priorities independently; proficiency with databases and digital tools. Flexibility for occasional evening/weekend work. Direct experience as a refugee, immigrant, or with immigrant-serving communities. Multilingual abilities. Pay:
$32.00 - $35.00 per hour
