Job Description

The Program Lead will be responsible for supporting the Menasha Parks and Recreation soccer program by preparing the lesson plans, implementing the lesson plans in a professional and positive manner, and providing direction and support of the program instructors. This includes development of curriculum in a timely manner, ensure programs are set up and ready to begin, and provide ideas around continuous improvements. The Program Lead will also perform routine customer service and instructor duties. Schedule Mondays & Thursdays typically 4:30PM - 7:15PM Greet, direct, and assist program participants and staff throughout lesson plan in accordance with rules, regulations, training, policies, and procedures. Model best practices and instruction methods that are to be replicated amongst staff. Review the curriculum and provide adaptions when necessary. Opens, secures, and cleans program areas before and after program use; prepares program areas for schedule classes. Inspects program areas and equipment and recommends maintenance and repair as needed. Maintains records of participation and any necessary program participation paperwork. Provide occasional feedback and training to program instructors. Aid in the writing the pre-program communications. Pass along communication and material for marketing outlets including social media. Respond to questions from program participants and provide timely Parks and Recreation Department announcements. Communicate effectively with volunteers and staff. Report for work as scheduled. Assists with Parks and Recreation special events as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Position Requirements/Qualifications Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, with individuals at various levels both within and outside the Department. Previous experience working with children and public Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, subordinates, volunteers, other City employees and the public. Working knowledge of the program activity. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations High school graduate Experience working with children One year or more related work experience First Aid/CPR Certification (can be obtained after hire) Physical Demands The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
