Reporting to the Special Programs Manager, the Special Programs Coordinator (Implementation & Support) provides direct operational and administrative support to Special Programs leadership. This role is responsible for coordinating and facilitating program delivery, supporting mentors and youth, managing program logistics, maintaining documentation, collecting data, and ensuring smooth execution of established curricula, activities, and events. This position does not own program design or strategic development, but instead ensures high-quality, consistent implementation of existing programs and serves as a front-line support resource for participants, mentors, partners, and management. Key Responsibilities Program Delivery & Support § Coordinate and support the Lakeland University Co-Op program, including facilitating student learning about BBBS and overseeing delivery of an established social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum to elementary and middle school youth. § Support recruitment, onboarding, and engagement of High School Bigs to serve as mentors for elementary-age youth. § Facilitate monthly High School Bigs Club meetings, including debriefing mentoring experiences and providing structured coaching and training to support mentor development. § Deliver established social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum and structured activities to youth participants under the guidance and direction of the Special Programs Manager. § Facilitate small-group mentoring sessions, structured match activities, and events using provided facilitation guides and resources. Mentor, Youth & Family Support § Serve as a point of contact for mentors (Bigs), youth (Littles), families, and school partners for day-to-day program questions. § Participate in match meetings, check-ins, and documentation under the direction of program leadership. § Conduct match support as assigned. § Provide referrals to appropriate agencies when concerns arise, following established protocols and supervision guidelines. Events, Logistics & Scheduling § Lead and support the planning, coordination, and execution program events, ensuring all activities are delivered on time and aligned with organizational goals. § Facilitate event logistics, including scheduling, vendor coordination, venue management, and on-site execution. § Maintain and actively manage the annual activities and events calendar, ensuring deadlines are met and priorities are clearly communicated. § Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless event delivery and a high-quality participant experience. Data, Documentation & Compliance § Maintain accurate and timely documentation to support accountability, child safety, privacy, and program effectiveness. § Collect and enter participant data including attendance, outcomes, surveys, disciplinary information, and academic indicators as required. § Support ongoing assessment of match relationships using trauma-informed and positive youth development practices. Training, Recruitment & Organizational Support § Assist with orientations and trainings for mentors, families, students, educators, and community partners. § Provide operational support to recruitment activities and fundraising events as assigned. § Perform other related duties to support program success as assigned Successful candidates in this process will meet the following requirements 3+ years nonprofit or youth development experience, child and/or adult relationship dynamics, professional familiarity with child development issues, family function/dysfunction, trauma informed care, and interpersonal communication preferred. Strong planning, assessment, decision making, exercising good judgment independently, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as a strong understanding non-verbal and body language skills. Ability to handle stressful situations and work in a fast-paced environment Relationship development experience and proven ability to form and sustain strong relationships with adults and children of all backgrounds and ages. Proven ability to work with confidential information. Ability to related well in multicultural environments, follow through/up in a timely manner, detail oriented when collecting data to draw solid conclusions, and demonstrated patience with a confident and calming presence. Bachelor's degree required with preference of degree in education, social work, social sciences, human resources, interpersonal communication or related field.
Pay:
