Educational and Experience Requirement Bachelor's Degree in related field. Master's degree preferred. Two years relevant experience in a related field. Four years of relevant experience is preferred. Experience in Higher Education, research, analytics, report writing, and specialized work is desirable. Additional education may be considered in lieu of experience. Nature & Purpose of Position Performs advanced research, analytics, and report writing in support of developing new educational programs and seeking opportunities for existing educational programs. Primary Responsibilities Conducts research to aid university leadership in making data-informed decisions about new program development and existing program modifications. Serves as a resource to the development and needs analysis of new program proposals, to include workforce analytics and market research. Assists in the development and implementation of methods for collecting and analyzing data from internal and external sources to determine program need and student demand, (may include developing surveys, focus groups, and questionnaires). Serves as an analytic resource for program, department, and college strategic planning or special projects. Interprets and presents data analytics to academic leadership through charts, graphs, and other visual means. Provides program analytics training and support to educational program stakeholders across campus. Assists in the ongoing review and analysis of educational program health. Performs other related duties as assigned. Other Specifications Requires a demonstrated ability to establish congenial work relationships, collaborate among units, and communicate effectively with faculty, staff, administrators, community, and workforce partners. Requires extensive knowledge of higher education. Requires demonstrated research, research writing, and analytical skills, as well as an aptitude for problem solving, innovative thinking, and independent work ethic. Requires knowledge of software systems to include Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Basic understanding of SPSS and intermediate proficiency in Excel is preferred. Advanced knowledge of, or experience in, the following is desirable: data analytics, data reporting, technical communication, related higher education and labor market databases or systems (e.g., TSUS, THECB, IPEDS, TWC, BLS, Lightcast.io, etc.).
