Based on Calhoun County Teachers Pay Schedule commensurate with degree level and experience. Salary based on experience and education level per CBOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.

Qualifications Required:

• WV Teaching Certification and Master's Degree in Leadership
• Minimum of three years teaching or leadership experience
• Knowledge of MTSS, ESEA, and WVDE requirements

• Experience with federal programs, MTSS leadership, 21st Century programs, or CIS collaboration Job Summary The Federal Programs Coordinator/Interventionist for Calhoun County Schools leads the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of all federal education programs in alignment with the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) requirements, and the district's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.

This position ensures that federal programs, instructional interventions, extended learning opportunities, and student supports are strategically aligned to improve academic outcomes, address barriers to learning, and promote equitable access to services. The Coordinator/Interventionist plays a key role in compliance, audits and monitoring reviews, strategic and consolidated planning, and cross-agency collaboration, including coordination with Communities in Schools (CIS) personnel to support students' academic and non-academic needs. MTSS-Embedded General Responsibilities

• Lead and support federal programs through an MTSS lens, ensuring alignment of academic, behavioral, and support services across all tiers
• Use data from universal screening, progress monitoring, and program evaluations to inform planning and service delivery
• Ensure federal resources strengthen Tier I instruction, Tier II targeted interventions, and Tier III intensive supports
• Support equitable and consistent implementation of MTSS practices across schools General ESEA and Federal Program Responsibilities
• Serve as the district authority for interpretation and implementation of ESEA statutes and regulations
• Coordinate and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local program requirements
• Lead comprehensive needs assessments and root-cause analysis
• Guide development and implementation of the LEA Strategic Plan and Consolidated Federal Programs Plan
• Support school-level strategic and improvement planning
• Ensure federally funded strategies meet ESSA tiers of evidence
• Maintain documentation for WVDE, federal, and local monitoring, audits, and reviews
• Ensure compliance with supplement-not-supplant, time and effort, inventory, and procurement requirements
• Lead stakeholder engagement, surveys, and public comment processes
• Provide professional learning based on data-identified needs Federal Programs and MTSS Integration Title I, Part A
• Coordinate Title I schoolwide and targeted assistance programs aligned to MTSS
• Oversee interventions, tutoring, and instructional supports
• Manage Parent and Family Engagement requirements
• Coordinate supports for homeless students
• Support data-driven instruction and evidence-based literacy and mathematics Title I, Parts C and D (If Applicable)
• Coordinate identification and services for eligible students
• Align services with MTSS supports and individual student needs Title II, Part A
• Coordinate professional learning aligned to MTSS priorities and LEA needs
• Support teacher recruitment, induction, coaching, and leadership development Title III
• Coordinate English Learner identification, placement, monitoring, and exit procedures
• Provide translation and interpretation services Title IV, Part A
• Develop programs for well-rounded education, safe and healthy schools, and effective technology use
• Support STEM, fine arts, digital citizenship, and mental health initiatives Title V, Part B
• Coordinate Rural and Low-Income Schools (RLIS) programming and reporting

MTSS Interventionist Responsibilities Tier I:

Support high-quality core instruction and analyze universal screening data

Tier II:

Coordinate and provide targeted small-group interventions and progress monitoring

Tier III:

Provide intensive, individualized interventions and support problem-solving teams Extended Learning

• Coordinate after-school, extended day, summer, and 21st Century Community Learning Centers programs
• Align extended learning to Tier II and Tier III intervention needs Audits, Monitoring, and Accountability
• Prepare for WVDE and federal audits and monitoring reviews
• Respond to findings, corrective actions, and improvement requirements Communities in Schools Coordination
• Collaborate with CIS to identify and address academic and non-academic barriers
