Job Description

The Casper-Natrona County Health Department (CNCHD) is seeking a motivated and compassionate WIC Technician to join our Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) team. This position plays an important role in helping pregnant women, infants, and young children access nutrition services, health resources, and support that promote healthy families and healthy communities. The WIC Technician serves as a primary point of contact for participants by assisting with eligibility determination, appointment scheduling, benefit issuance, referrals, and participant support. This position works closely with WIC staff, breastfeeding peer counselors, and community partners to provide excellent customer service and ensure compliance with state and federal program requirements. Key Responsibilities  Welcome and assist WIC participants in person and by phone  Schedule appointments and manage participant flow  Determine eligibility through income screening and documentation review  Issue eWIC benefits and provide participant education  Connect participants with health, nutrition, and community resources  Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality  Support outreach events and community engagement activities  Assist with office operations, inventory, and program documentation  Work collaboratively with WIC, Maternal Child Health, and other CNCHD programs

Up to $47,069.00 per year
