Job Description

We are seeking a Project Manager II/III for
Broadband Infrastructure Location:
Anchorage, Alaska Work Arrangement:
In-office, Full Time.
Compensation:
$90,000-$130,000 annually, depending on experience
Benefits:

Position Summary The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, tracking, and reporting on broadband and telecommunications infrastructure projects from initiation through completion. This role provides day-to-day project management leadership across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring schedules, budgets, risks, action items, deliverables, and stakeholder communications are effectively managed. The Project Manager serves as the central coordination point between clients, engineering teams, contractors, consultants, funding agencies, and internal stakeholders. The position requires strong project management fundamentals including schedule development and maintenance, meeting facilitation, action tracking, risk management, financial reporting, forecasting, status reporting, and stakeholder coordination. Experience with broadband infrastructure, fiber deployment, grant-funded programs, and telecommunications projects is preferred. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules using Microsoft Project and other project management tools. Coordinate project activities across engineering, permitting, environmental, procurement, construction, operations, and client teams. Facilitate project meetings and prepare meeting agendas, notes, action logs, and follow-up communications. Maintain project action trackers, decision logs, issue logs, dependency trackers, and risk registers. Monitor project progress and proactively identify schedule impacts, risks, constraints, and resource challenges. Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports for clients, leadership, and stakeholders. Support project budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting activities. Track project expenditures, commitments, forecasts, and overall budget performance. Coordinate deliverables and ensure project documentation is complete, organized, and maintained. Support vendor coordination, procurement activities, contract administration, and project reporting requirements. Assist with development and management of project plans, work breakdown structures, milestones, and project controls. Support grant-funded project reporting and compliance requirements as applicable. Communicate project status, risks, issues, and recommendations to project stakeholders. Coordinate project schedules and dependencies across multiple concurrent projects. Escalate project concerns and recommend corrective actions when necessary. Support continuous improvement of project management processes, tools, and reporting standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Telecommunications, or related field, or equivalent experience. 3-7 years of project management experience supporting infrastructure, telecommunications, engineering, construction, or technology projects. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Project for schedule development, maintenance, and reporting. Experience preparing meeting notes, action item logs, status reports, and executive project updates. Experience managing project risks, issues, dependencies, and change management processes. Strong financial acumen including budget tracking, forecasting, cost management, and project reporting. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting broadband, telecommunications, fiber, utility, or infrastructure projects. Familiarity with outside plant (OSP) planning, fiber deployment, and network construction activities. Experience supporting
BEAD, USDA
ReConnect, Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program, NTIA, state broadband programs, or other grant- funded infrastructure projects. Experience working with engineering consultants, construction contractors, permitting agencies, and utility stakeholders. Familiarity with project controls, earned value concepts, forecasting, and capital project reporting. PMP certification or progress toward certification. Experience supporting federal, state, or publicly funded infrastructure programs. Understanding of telecommunications network deployment and construction lifecycle processes. Performance Expectations The Project Manager will support multiple concurrent projects while maintaining accurate schedules, financial reporting, risk management, and stakeholder communications. Success will be measured by schedule accuracy, quality of project reporting, budget and forecast management, timely issue resolution, stakeholder satisfaction, project delivery performance, documentation quality, and the ability to effectively coordinate project teams and deliverables.
